《性情真章》出版，送到全香港的中學。並出席當局安排的家長介紹會。教材可在教育局網站內下載。
Under Ronald's supervision, the set of reading materials for junior secondary school students was released and
distributed to schools. Ronald also attended an introduction seminar with parents. The set can be downloaded
at the Bureau's website.
禧文由銅鑼灣遷往上環。搬到新地方，禧文傳統不改。多年來，週六的English Discussion Group 課後，是大家的茶聚時間。來了上環，課後仍然是我們的coffee time. 這是集學習，交友，談天於一爐的地方。禧文的宗旨：沙漠中的綠洲。
MEA was relocated from Causeway Bay to Sheung Wan. Our tradition remains unchanged in the new location. Every Saturday after the
discussion group ends, it's the coffer time for friends of MEA. Our motto: The Oasis in the Desert.
辦了四年的國學組，因學員四散而停止。

Dr. Teng's new book published. It is a collection of newspaper articles and interviews.

Started a course names Science and Humanity in the University of Science & Technology. Content included reading
Asimov's fictions, watching movie and discuss about topics like bioethics.
週末組讀羅素的《西方哲學史》與 William McNeill 的 A World History。
The Saturday class chose to read Bertrand Russell’s A History of Western Philosophy and William McNeill's A World History.

再度與李歐梵博士攜手，今回在南京與蘇州等大學主持座談，主題是「芝加哥大學的人文傳統」。
Invited to give a seminar with Dr. Leo Lee Ou-fan again, this time at Universities in Nanjing Suzhou. The topic was "The Humanistic Tradition of the University of Chicago".
開始參與老師訓練計畫，當教育部門的導師。演講以外，另設中文和英文討論小組。
Commissioned by the Education Bureau, Ronald initiated a training programme on teachers. Besides lectures, discussion groups in English and Chinese were also set up.
與教育部課程發展組合作，編給初中用的《性情真章》開始工作。編輯小組主要成員是朱順慈，馮家明，張世熹等；他們當時都是港大通識學部的同事。
Cooperate with the Cirriculum Development Institute of Education Bureau for the production of a set of reading materials for junior secondary school students. Joining force with Ronald were Ms Donna Chu and her colleagues
from the General Education Unit of the University of Hong Kong.

翻譯的《國體與經體》出版。上海人民出版社。列入（世紀人文系列）。
Ronald's translation of Polity and Economy: Further Thoughts Principles Of Adam Smith was published in mainland China.

十二月開始，在《蘋果日報》論壇版發表評論文章。兩星期一篇。文章在星期一或星期二刊出。
Started a bi-weekly column at Hong Kong's Apple Daily. Article appears every
other Monday or Tuesday.
